Self Tapping Screws are screws that can be driven into small pilot holes in materials cutting and creating their own thread. These screws are commonly used in plastics, and sheet metal. Pilot holes can vary depending on material hardness on thickness. These screws are screwed into place using a Slotted (Flat Head) Screwdriver or impact driver. This screw is a Countersunk Head with a Shallow Dome on the Top. This means that the screw will sit into Counter-bored materials and Sheet leaving an attractive finish on top. They are commonly used in applications where an attractive finish is needed. These screws are measured overall but not including the shallow dome and are always fully threaded from underneath the countersunk Head!
